The idea is to walk the Yorkshire 3 peaks then the following day walk the Wharfedale 3 peaks
The Yorkshire 3 peaks are Pen y Ghent, Whernside and Inglebrough we aim to walk the Yorkshire 3 peaks in 12 hours, the total distance is 24 miles that is 1600 meters of ascent. You will burn up to 7000 calories and lose 3 to 5 litres of fluid.
The Wharfedale three peaks are Great Whernside, Buckden Pike and Firth Fell. We aim to walk the Wharfedale 3 peaks in ten hours the total distance is 18 miles you will burn up to 5000 calories and lose 3 – 4 litres of fluid.
Cost is £ 100 per person.
From each booking Northern Guiding will donate £5 to the local Mountain Rescue Team.
This event is fully guided, Northern Guiding can put a package together that includes 2 nights self catering hostel accommodation and transport to/from walk we may able to arrange meals upon request this would come at an extra cost.
On this event you will not get lost as it is fully guided by a mountain leader.
On the Saturday we will meet at Ribblehead, climb Whernside, then onto Inglebrough, walk into Horton, then Climb Pen y Ghent, at Horton. There is a train station where people can get a train back to Ribblehead if you wish.
On the Sunday we will meet in Kettlewell, then climb Great Whernside, after Buckden Pike drop down to Buckden, then climb Firth Fell then back to Kettlewell.
