Whether you're camping in the wild or walking mountains, please find the answers to our most commonly asked FAQs.  If you can’t find what you’re looking for and need answers to something more specific - like guided walks in Yorkshire Dales or private guided walks in Lake District, please get in touch.

Q. What do I bring with me
A. Check our recommended kit list page for a guide on what to bring with you

Q. DBS Checks
A. Mark Killala is DBS checked, formally the CRB checking process.

Q. How do i pay?
A. Payments are via bank transfer or cheque.

Q. What is your instructor to customer ratio?
A. 1 instructor to 9 customers

Q. As well as supplying a guide for a long distance path can you arrange accommodation and luggage transfer?
A. We can only supply a guide as we would have to have package holiday insurance to do the rest it is some thing I want to do in future.

Q. What is included in your walking breaks/centre based holidays?
A. Bed and Breakfast accommodation and services of a guide on guided walks.

Q. What about transport for the duration of a walking break/centre based holidays?
A. We would be using pubic transport to get around but most walks would be from the place where we would be staying and the walks that we would use public transport for would be mostly linear walks.

Q. Could you supply any equipment for your courses/activities?
A. I could hire some items out to you but that depends on what you needed and I would need to be given notice at the time of booking.

Q. Do you do a holiday booking service?
A. No, it is something which I will look to do in the future.

Q. Where abouts in Scotland will the winter hill skills course take place?
A. Fort William & Glencoe area or Cairngorms.

Q. Can you do any guided Scottish Winter mountain walks?
A. I can arrange for that to be done.
